Content Cluster

The cluster model (popularized by HubSpot in 2017) is the dominant content architecture for SEO and AEO. A pillar like “What is Answer Engine Optimization” links to subtopic pages on llms.txt, schema, citations, etc. Each subtopic links back to the pillar and laterally to related subtopics.

This dense interlinking signals topical authority and helps AI engines understand which page is authoritative on which subtopic.
